Dates of the auditions for the working year 2010-2011

In order to be able to guarantee an honest selection for the limited vacancies, the USO organizes auditions once a year. Don't let this frighten you, though! The basic knowledge that is taught in the academies will usually suffice.

The auditions for 2010-2011 will be held on Monday October 4th (winds) and on Tuesday October 5th (strings). These will happen in the Pieter De Somer aula, De Bériotstraat (Oktober 4th) and Maria Theresia College, Sint-Michielstraat 6 (Oktober 5th). Arrows will indicate the exact location. For practical reasons auditions for percussionists, pianists and harp-players are organized prior to a regular rehearsal. Please show up at one of the audition days to subscribe yourself.

Kandidates are required to perform one piece of thier own choice and one small prima vista piece. The prima vista piece is not really prima vista as it is given to you during your preparation time about 20 minutes prior to your audition
